Gothic Spring is Caroline's new work which focuses on the toxic effects of repression as a tight knit rural community punishes individuality.  Birlliance is met with intolerance and death.  This follows publication of Heart Land, which touches on recovered childhood memories and celebrates the generosity of American spirit.


Caroline Miller overcame significant challenges to earn distinction as teacher, union president, two term Multnomah County Commissioner (the first Latina), as an original Councilor with Metro, artist and now, writer.  Caroline is a member of PEN. She is a strong advocate for women, seniors, and the arts.
